There has been an increased level of WP Login brute force attempts on the server today.
This looks to be a DDOS type of attack on WP sites, which is causing intermittent performance issues with the server.
At this time, there isn't any indication that an attack has been successful.
As part of our security meausures, we have implemented a temporary 2 stage password process for any wp login pages. This will essentially stop all malicious traffic from attempting to log in and gain access to your sites.
This 2 stage password window will say "Authentication Required"
The password information for this window is:
You will then see your standard WP login screen and be able to log in with your normal WP login username and password.
You can also bypass the 2 stage lockout by using the wp-admin login buttons from your Insty.client area, in the Insty.wordpress panel.
If you have any troubles, please contact support and we'll be happy to help.
Thanks for your patience as we work hard to ensure that your sites are secure.
We are experiencing intermittent performance issues with server Srv109.instyserver.com. We are investigating the cause of the issues, and during this time, we may have to pull services offline to fully investigate.
Thank you for your patience in this matter, and if any additional maintenance or downtime is needed, we will alert via email.
Server srv109 is currently rebooting. Please allow a few minutes for the machine to fully start up.
UPDATE - Thank you for your continued patience with this issue. The folks at cPanel are continuing the work on the back end issue. We hope to have a resolution soon.
Server Srv109.instyserver.com is experiencing a cPanel issue that is causing cPanel to be inoperative.
This means cPanel and WHM are currently not responding to requests, and will show as down.
The main sites continue to operate at this time, and we are working with the folks at cPanel to narrow down the issue and resolve as soon as possible.
Also, any email delivered to email clients that use the server's hostname may not be working at this point as well.
Please accept our apologies for this outage and know that we are working hard to resolve it.
The Insty team
This afternoon, the server experienced a hardware failure and had to be rebooted and re-synched.
The system is currently doing a database rebuild, which may result in some sites showing an errorn - "Database Error Occurred"
Over time, sites will come back online and begin to show normally.
We thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.
Srv106 was unresponsive today and we are currently doing a system reboot. Thanks for your patience in this matter.
The Mysql hardware error has been resolved this morning. During the repair process, it was found that the drives were unrecoverable, making the currently running Mysql database corrupt, and despite our efforts, we were unable to revive the current dataset in place.
As part of our fail safe systems, we employ backups on all shared hosting servers of all critical data. Because the data was unable to be recovered, we had to initiate a restore of the database information from our backups. The last complete backup of Mysql was taken on Sunday, March 1st.
We were able to successfully restore all Mysql data from the 1st to the system and re-initate the database after installing new hard disk hardware.
The server - srv111.insty.me needed an immediate unplanned reboot. We apologize for this inconvenience. This should only take a few minutes and should be back online soon. Thanks for your patience with this.
